Player to Player Activity

Greetings all,

I was wondering if there is any downside to participating in Player to Player activities with "friends" if you are just bartering? I am only seeing an upside by gaining silver and points for personal goals. Please educate me.

Absolutely no issue. When bartering, both players gain silver. Bartering with friends is a great thing to do; it builds trust. It can also be done as a building block for new friendships, or to quell enmity.

All true, just bear in mind that action with friends apparently do not count for some PtP - based criteria (i.e. the spoils in stage 1 of the world events). Apart from that, all should be fine, I even think they count towards Obsidian Dagger.

Alysia, you are correct, they do count towards the Obsidian Dagger! I got most of my PtP for Obsidian from barter with friends.

Is there a way to do mass player-player actions, like with adventure party but PtP?
That'd make it a lot easier to do mass aid to other alliance members.

Maybe, but it's unlikely they'll implement Razz they'll probably focus on the communication system or AvA administration first.

i find ptp a bit bothersome, since it takes so much time to complete one action. and the UI is cumbersome. locating the person to interact with, sending all these ss one by one... ugh.

Offensive PtP in itself does not make much sense IMO - you are hurting someone you usually have no idea who he/she even is, not that it would even really hurt unless its a coordinated effort...

The somewhat useful thing is barter which can really help during re-inc.

Only secondary features like the Obsidian Dagger and seals give PtP some meaning, I personally find the fealty-building seals particularly useful.

You can get the prerequisites for these by positive PtP actions (or at least harmless & pointless spying) with friends.

Thing to keep in mind here however is the level-difference limits:

Wrong level difference = no chance of seal.
